You can reach the Isle of Youth by plane, from the José Martí Airport in Havana, or by sea, on a catamaran departing from the town of Batabanó, south of Havana, and arriving at its capital, Nueva Gerona.

The Vilo Acuña International Airport (CYO), also known as Cayo Largo International Airport, is the closest airport to the Isle of Youth and is located on Cayo Largo del Sur island.

The regular ferry service from the port of Batabanó connects you directly to Nueva Gerona, the main city of this special municipality.
